HISTORICAL MAPS OF LANSDOWNE
To
unveil the aspects of Lansdowne that once facilitated a thriving community,
We researched the history of the neighborhood through a series of maps
that Lead us back as far as 1905. From this we discovered a creek which
once meandered through Lansdowne. Further investigation revealed that this
natural water source was later engineered to travel underground to make
way for new development. By restoring the land to its natural state, it
will alleviate problems of flooding. It will also beautify the neighborhood,
and foster various real activities.
