Introduction
 Dianne Atkins is a 40-year-old bank processor who lives in East Saint Louis, Illinois. She has two children, and lives in the Lansdowne neighborhood. She was born and educated in the community and went to Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville for college, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Health Science. Over the past several months, she has taken an active role in the newly formed the Lansdowne Steering Committee. Her work has included city beautification, neighborhood surveys, and community activism.
