COLONEL THEODIS BROWN

Col. Brown was born in Roe, Arkansas and raised in St. Louis, MO. His birthday is January 31, 1949. He is married to Gail Brown and their anniversary is May 24, 1968. Their church is the New World Church with Pastor Gordon in charge. Col. Brown is honest, analytical, compassionate, dependable, resourceful and responsible.

The Browns are parents of four sons, Theodis Jr., Theodore, Theond and Theman and one daughter, Regina Ann. They are all musically-inclined and inspired to play various instruments like me.

As a Black male in the Christian society, I have grown in that I'm reverent, mentally awake and morally straight in greater degrees. in these areas, I feel I have grown.

My greatest personal achievement has been in filing complicated, highly technical federal court litigations as a Prose litigant. This occurred after firing my unethical White attorney of law who was misrepresenting me in court on legal matters. Afterwards, I began winning various legal motions on legal issues of law which I filed myself in civil proceedings (as plaintiff). Theodis Brown was a former city police-lieutenant, city fireman and assistant chief of police in Kinloch. Several years ago he won the police Medal of Valor for disarming an angry husband who was trying to shoot his wife. On another occasion, he was injured while leading a dozen senior citizens to safety from their early morning apartment house fire.

My occupation is serving as a head private-eye, head fire and police consultant holding the rank of colonel at Moreno, also a volunteer police man in Pagedale, MO. I am employed by the Moreno Private Law Enforcement Agency of St. Louis, MO and the Pagedale, MO Police Department. Consistent with my duties, I like helping people, which gives me personal satisfaction. This is the main reason I work as a part-time police officer in Pagedale as a volunteer policeman.

MEMBERSHIPS: Missouri State Democratic Committee; Chairman of the Board of Private Police Commissioners of Moreno Law Enforcement Agency.

AWARDS: A gymnastic award as a gymnast; a music honor as a musician; a police hero valor award for saving the life of several senior citizens.

Favorite TV programs are AMERICA'S BLACK FORUM: SIXTY MINUTES and BARNABY JONES. Favorite Book is David Baker's "Giant of Jazz Book of John Coltrain." I'm a music buff who gets musical ideas from reading the musical material of great musicians.

INSTANCE OF DISCRIMINATION: One I can readily cite is how the White media discriminates in its coverage of Black candidates for elective office compared to how White candidates are given the maximum coverage. Blacks like myself are only given minimum media coverage. I rectified my situation by merely paying for media coverage in part instead of relying on the media to give me free coverage.

PUNISHMENT RECEIVED AS A CHILD: As a child, I was not the Dennis the Menace type. I was obedient, kind and reverent. in fact, I joined the Boy Scouts at age 11. At age 12, 1 was baptized a Christian. Consequently, I followed the rules of my family, school and troop. Let it also be noted that I was a school patrol boy and as a youngster, I even sold Post & Globe newspapers.

An amusing incident in our family occurred the time my mother and I were in a clothing store and a White merchant thought that my mother and I were two kids. I was about eleven years old at the time.

We live in the city's Northside community, North St. Louis Walnut Park Area. I find this area to have wonderful public services and community resources compared to other places.
