R.O.M.E.O.S.

A lunch group of men meet every Tuesday at my Brother Jack's and they call themselves the R.O.M.E.O.S. which stands for "Retired Old Men Eating Out". The men are: Al Ringhofer, Gene Menges, Joe Brady, Dave Read, Ed Johnson, Bert Bertrand, Vinny O'Leary, Ben Griesedieck, Paul Maney, Hersel Lillis, Gerry Spencer, Bob Jasper, Jack Ryan, Lou Boggemann, Tom Keefe, Wes Moss (deceased), Harold Galvin, Jim Galvin, Ed McLean and Sunny Shields. - They enjoy getting together and having a good time. (Their Romeo days are over).

There was some dirt (soot) on the window sill in his office. Stames made the remark that "when there is no dirt East St. Louis will be closed down". (Al's first wife was Edna who is deceased. He is now married to Alice (Cutler) Ringhofer).
