This web page is a presentation
of work done throughout the Spring Semester 2000 for a joint studio of
Architecture 372 and Landscape Architecture 338. The group members
include: Lauren Leighty, junior in landscape architecture, Beth Lindahl,
senior in architecture, Andrew Foster, senior in architecture, and James
Clarke, senior in landscape architecture. The project consisted of
the site and building development of an elderly housing community.

It takes you through the phases of the project (left sidebar) and site pictures, work weekends and design reviews (right sidebar) to convey feedback from professors as well as residents of the East St. Louis community. In each of these sections clicking on the picture will enhance the size and create more easily read images. Please enjoy your visit. The first step of the project
was choosing a site. Residents of the Alta Sita community identified
several areas which they thought to be suitable. The site we chose
to develop is at the corner of 22nd Street and Market Street. See

We have accomplished these goals
through a series of designs which were repeatedly scrutinized by Alta Sita
residents and the School of Architecture
