Our preliminary site choice is located in the northwest region of the Alta Sita neighborhood, bordering the community of North End.  Our reasons for choosing this site are related to it's proximity to an open wooded lot, reasonable distance to church/school, commercial development and main accessway of Bond Street.  The lot we chose is surrounded on the northeast, north and southeast primarily by single family housing in good condition, and limited trash and refuse.  Also it appears to be well lit and have most of its drain covers. Design #1
The concept of this facility is to provide both independent and assisted living quarters under one roof.  The largest community space will be located in the center of the building with smaller gathering rooms at each end.  A semi-private open space will be provided at the core of the unit.

Design #2
This design concept incorporates many of the same concepts as design 1.  A central community space, an independent living block providing individuals free access to their apartment on one side, while maintaining an interior corridor on the other side.  An assisted living block is behind this, the two areas being connected by a central common space, with dining, nurse station, and mail room.  On the upper level two smaller common rooms would be provided.  These rooms would create an open accessway on the ground floor, connecting to outdoor gardens and paths, eliminating complicated circulation.
