What
Is Sustainability?
-
A sustainable development is a development
that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of
future generations to meet their own needs.
-
Any economic or social development should
improve, not harm, the environment.
-
Sustainablity is an ethic of duration.
At it's most basic, to last, humanity must be inside the constraints of
the natural world.
-
[Sustainability is] not only caring about
the envionment...it's also about the economy - today, tomorrow, local ,
global. And about social well-being, that is, social equality.
