What Is Sustainability?

• A sustainable development is a development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

• Any economic or social development should improve, not harm, the environment.

• Sustainablity is an ethic of duration.  At it's most basic, to last, humanity must be inside the constraints of the natural world.
