                                Introduction to Method and Criteria
The figures below represent an evaluation for visual quality and viewer preference. Quantifying a visual evaluation is a multifaceted task. It evolves several criteria for evaluation including issue such as landform, water, and visual order. To view the actual assessment method sheet click here. In the images that follow (as can be seen) there are photographs and color rendered drawings. These represent something of a before and after scope. The photograph on top (beginning with number one) represents aspects of the site as it is now. The drawing is an initial design actualization.

Moderate rating (Visual Quality=11.5, Preference=4.1) :Maintenance is poor and presence of weed trees. Safety: moderate, due to presence of litter and lack of proper maintenance (2.9). A discernible , diverse planting pallet would help immensely.

2
Overall rating is poor (Visual Quality=6.7, Preference=3.2): Presence of the factory in the background and poor vegetation. Safety: barren, undeveloped land gives it a moderate safety rating (2.5). Corrective measures may include better planting , masking the effects of the factory. , Add pedestrian friendly amenities like sidewalks.

Moderate rating (Visual Quality=7.6, Preference=3.7): It implies landform where there otherwise isn't. Safety: Moderate , due to elevated rail structure and electric cables . Also, lack of designed planting has a negative effect (2.5) Incorporation of vegetation is necessary but without decreasing the significance of the elevated rail.

4  Moderate rating (Visual Quality=15, Preference=3.3): Presence of the arch gives a positive effect. Safety: moderate, due to barren land and no presence of human activity (2.6) By framing the arch -(likely through planting), one could emphasize the arch.

5
Fairly low rating (Visual Quality=-4.8, Preference=2.2): This is due to presence of derelict construction alongside the rail mane. Safety: low due to rail mane , derelict houses (1.8) Derelict construction, if unincorporated, may be removed. Human activity is of the utmost necessity . This can be done through beautification and commercial development.

Initial Conclusion

Overall, vegetative (herbaceous and woody) diversity is necessary. Maintenance and grooming is necessary . Presence of positive human activity gives a higher safety rating. This includes tasks from pruning greenlife to controlling litter. We expect that our perceived difficulties with the landscape are fairly typical. Source: Survey
