After conducting economic, site, cultural, and habitat evaluations, it is obvious that the Used Movie Cafe would bring benefits to downtown East St. Louis.  The benefits of the project outweigh the costs not only in economic terms, but also in many ways that cannot be valued monetarily.  The Cafe/Theatre will bring the community of East St. Louis together, providing a place for citizens of all ages to congregate.  Not only will it serve as a place for young people to go to keep them off the street and away from trouble, the theatre will also be a way for families to enjoy an outing together.  The theatre will offer movies that satisfy everyone's tastes so it caters to a large, diverse audience.
As the result of the transformation of the abandoned theatre to the Used Movie Cafe, existing businesses in downtown East St. Louis will see an increase in revenue.  The theatre will bring customers to the area who may not normally visit.  These new patrons will buy gas, food, and other goods and services at these local businesses.  The resulting economic boom in East St. Louis will attract new businesses to the downtown area.  These entrepreneurs will refurbish building and East St. Louis will soon return to the thriving city it once was.
