of Land Use Change

Cultural/historical resource impacts of land-use change in ESL

  1. Work as a group.
  2. Consider the land-use change proposed and investigate cultural historical implications.
  3. Use EGRETS/ArcView to identify sites of cultural/historical value.
  4. Prepare a brief report as part of your land-use evaluation homepage, linked to maps, illustrations and other relevant reports within the ESLARP on-line resources.
  5. The report should take into account what you have found out about the mapped and any other cultural-historical resources, and any assumptions and guesses based on your own knowledge of the area. I want you to prepare a report that describes
  6. Use the WWW to find out about the area through EGRETS and any other means. Think about the more contemporary culture of Miles Davis, Jackie Joyner-Kersey etc. and how that fits in.
  7. Either as credits within the report, or independently via e-mail, identify individual group members' contributions.
  8. Due: Next week, Wednesday, November 26
