Emerson Park:
13th/Winstanley Redevelopment Project

Community is the emphasis of 13th/Winstanley Redevelopment Project.  In addition to increasing the amount of desperately-needed affordable, quality housing in the Emerson Park area of East St. Louis, the project will also spur economic development for community businesses.  Integrated within the new community of fifty-two housing units are a grocery store, hardware store and barbershop, with space for other retail and professional enterprises.  The redevelopment project also helps lay a foundation to harbor community relationships in an on-site neighborhood park and garden.  Here neighbors, friends and visitors alike can meet in this welcomed green space and remain close to home and other nearby cultural amenities, including the Lessie Bates Community Center, a planned public library and an archeological interpretation center with a Native American burial mound.

Emerson Park is in need of a safe, convenient, high-quality and culturally engaging living experience.  The 13th/Winstanley Redevelopment Project will provide this, and will do so at a price that East St. Louis residents can afford.  So click “Welcome” below and take a virtual tour of our approach to redevelopment, and discover a refreshingly unique way to build a community.
