Project Sites, October 99, 35mm pictures
You'll find project site photos at these locations:
Red Group
Purple Group
Blue Group
Orange Group
Green Group
Please read this note:
-
These photos are of your site - to make you more familiar
with what the surroundings look like.
-
Looking at these, revise if necessary the selection of
twelve to eighteen images you selected from the three survey groups as
best representing your site.
-
Having finalized that choice, identify the preference
score for each one as recorded in the surveys. Then make a visual
quality evaluation using the sheet your group has made.
-
You will have two numbers for each picture. Scan
the pictures looking for patterns such as "old buildings always get high
scores", "trash in pictures always scores low".
-
Based on your knowledge of the site as it is now (the
new photos) judge the present visual quality of your site (you can make
a visual quality evaluation if you wish)
-
Based on your expectations of the site after development,
judge the likely future visual quality.
-
Assemble a report that tells what the current and future
values are, make comparisons between them, and offer advice as to why the
development is a good or bad thing in visual terms.
