Practical 7 --
Visual Quality Evaluations
of Land Use Change
Assess the visual resource impacts of land-use
change in ESL
-
As a group, think about how your proposed
land use will add to or detract from visual quality in ESL.
-
Pick out 12-18 scenes from the survey results
(on line via the links below) that represent the qualities of the neighborhood
as it is now, and as it will be after the changes you propose.
-
Using the Visual Quality evaluation form developed
in-class, and the results of the on-line surveys presented below, evaluate:
-
the current visual quality of your site, based
on your best guess as to conditions, and
-
the likely impacts of your proposed development
on visual quality
-
Prepare a report on visual quality as part
of your land-use evaluation homepage, linked to maps, illustrations and
any other relevant material within the ESLARP on-line resources.
-
Either as credits within the report, or independently
via e-mail, identify individual group members' contributions.
-
Due: Wednesday, November 3.
