USING FLOOD WATER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFIT

This project explores the possiblity of constructing a wetland at a site in East St. Louis that currently suffers from frequent flooding. Through a program funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, portions of the site have been purchased and now await plans for reuse. The wetland design presented in this report brings together the physical limitations of the area and presents them in a better use for the site.
