Alternative Spring Break
Eight students from the University of Illinois and 12 students from Northwestern particiated in an Alternative Spring Break from March 23-27th. Read more about this outreach activity at the link above.

Neighborhood Condition Survey
The East St. Louis Neighborhood Condition Survey (NCS) was conducted in two neighborhoods (Emerson Park and Edgemont) in fall 1997. Information collected included building condition, parcel condition, number of street trees, land use, etc. The data that the students collected will form the backbone of the Emerson Park Neighborhood Plan Update that will be completed by a Spring 1998 Urban Planning Workshop course. The data has been edited and converted into map form. Detailed information and updates are available at the link above.

EDRA Conference Highlights
The EDRA Conference held in St. Louis entitled "People, Places and Public Policy" included presentations from ESLARP. Read more about ESLARP's conference activities and see the presentations at the link above.
