snap '98 (Spring Neighborhood Action Projects)

Wednesday May 13th Temple Buell Hall 611 East Lorado Taft Drive, Champaign,IL More than 100 students from the Schools of Architecture and Law, and the Departments of Landscape Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning have completed credited field work projects with East St. Louis based organizations pursuing innovative community building initiatives. You are cordially invited to attend a presentation and exhibit featuring the combined research, planning, and design output of these students.

Community Outreach Weekend #2, Spring 1998

Some of the highlights of student activities include:

• Gutted the interior of houses in preparation for rehabilitation
• Prepared the Farmer's Market for rehabilitation
• Fixed up the community center in Lansdowne neighborhood

• Computer Fun Day for children of East St. Louis
• Trash Pick-up in Lansdowne and other areas
• Farmer's Market painting and landscaping
