Projects Include: Tabernacle Area Redevelopment Project Preservation Through Revitalization Emerson Park Resource Center (EPRC) : Gateway to the Future Blue's Family Restaurant Emerson Park: 13th/Winstanley Redevelopment Project ../la/LA341-F99/projects.htm ___________________________________________________________________ ARCH 371 FINAL CLASS PROJECTS An architectural design studio with an emphasis on designing housing environments of different types for different users. The Emerson Park Development Corporation, as part of the Neighborhood Faith-Based Housing Program, requested that this design studio develop 10 homes which will be built beginning in July of 2000. EPDC will construct the ten homes next summer for low to very low income families. Projects Include: Sustainability in Architecture Defensible Space Personal Expressions & Symbolism Affordable Housing Compatibility Single-Parent Housing Non-traditional Households Housing for the Elderly Universal Design / Accessibility Cultural Identity of the African American Community ../arch/ARCH371-F99/projects.html ___________________________________________________________________ FAREWELL TO JAMES JONES We are sad to say 'goodbye' to James Jones who has been with ESLARP/NTAC for the past 2 years. While James will still be in town and connected, this is a huge loss for ESLARP. He has been of tremendous help to ESLARP, NTAC and invaluable to ESL CAN. James will be Program Manager for Emerson Park's Youth Build program. We are confident he will serve Youth Build as well as he did ESLARP. Good luck James!
