Cleaning and Greening East St. Louis

Student and community volunteers completed a number of environmental improvement projects in East St. Louis this year. These included lot clean-ups in four neighborhoods, two park clean-ups, and a community garden clean-up in Olivette Park. Local nurseries donated plant materials for several landscape projects, including the landscaping of the new Mt. Sinai Baptist Church building in the Winstanley/Industry Park Neighborhood and planting of saplings in Emerson Park.
