Hi, my name is J.Michael Wallace.  I am a Doctoral Student in the Department of Recreation Sport and Tourism and my focus is Leisure Studies.  I received my BS in Management from Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA and my MS in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University, Miami FL.   My corporate experience range from organizational development to marketing.

As a Doctoral Student in Recreation, Sport Tourism my research interest is the sociocultural and political aspects of leisure and the ideological forces that shape and organize leisure behavior.  One of the many issues I wish to explore is "The influence of spirituality and play on the leisure behavior, health and well-being of African and Latino Women in the Americas".
