Hi! I'm Jenna Goebig. I am a second year graduate student in the Joint MBA/MArch program. In May 2009, I graduated with my BS-Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois. I am Illini through and through!
From working on BoP product development in India to grassroots engagement in East St. Louis, I have grown a deep interest in social sustainability and bottom-up learning.I also enjoy working with and for Non-Profits. During undergrad, I was involved with Freedom by Design, a non profit organization through the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) that 'utilizes the talents of architecture students to radically impact the lives of people in their community through modest design and construction solutions.' During my senior year (2008-09), I served as a Co-Captain of FBD and teamed up with ESLARP to complete a design/build project in East St. Louis in Fall 2008.
During the summer 2010, I worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Lynne Dearborn and conducted a housing/neighborhood study in East St. Louis.
Through my many experiences, I have fallen in love with the program and people over the last year and am thrilled to be coordinating the Outreach Weekends throughout grad school.
