My first ESLARP experience was as a general volunteer on one of ESLARP's outreach weekends, back in 1999 when I was an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois.  My ESLARP experience stayed with me throughout the years while I was working as a canvass director, union organizer, and community organizer. I recently returned to school to earn a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois, and as a graduate student I had the opportunity to be one of ESLARP's graduate assistants.    Working with community members has always been one of my passions, and I look forward to giving new students an opportunity to become engaged in community projects.  I am currently teaching FAA 291, Civic Engagement in East St. Louis, and providing website support for ESLARP.
